Tobacco Road LAST OF THE OLD SOUTH POSTCARDS
These postcards capture the essence of the Old South, offering a nostalgic glimpse into a bygone era through the eyes of a native son of south carolina. The collection of years of photographs taken by the Patriarch of the Southern Queen brand. Our father began taking photos when he purchased an old Canon camera for $12 from a pawn shop. Over the years his love for photography grew but once he became a family man, he had less time for his hobby and eventually put his camera aside. His passion was reignited after retiring from the railroad when he was offered a freelance position at the Florence Morning News. During his time on assignments he began to notice the South that he remembered was slowly vanishing . This promted him to use his lense and skill to document people, places and scenery that shaped life while growing up in South Carolina.
